Challenge

SWAP Integration faced a common problem: using off-the-shelf digital tools to manage their customized ways of working. These generic platforms failed to meet the requirements of the business and required constant workarounds to fill in the gaps of the SWAP Integration pull planning process.

Options

• Find and Adopt another Off-the-Shelf Solution: Existing software solutions were minimal and non-competitive, and the best available solutions were outdated and could not keep up with the needs of SWAP Integration.
• Scale the Team: This meant prioritizing human resources over advancing the tech. This solution came with high long term costs and had scalability limitations.
• Build out a custom solution: Create a tailored platform for internal use and build towards a SaaS platform for public launch.
